Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Michigan

Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to transport things and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.

To be able to avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Machine must be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make certain that the handle can smoothly turn. The pallet must be carefully stacked in order to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.

To release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop abruptly. Gradually stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
