Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide versatility and height. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is required.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is designed to hoist employees is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
