Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
Just as the name implies, the walkie model is designed for the operator to walk alongside with the unit while they move cargo. The Rider model however, uses a small platform for which the operator stands on. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances within manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are extremely maneuverable and fast.
It is not recommended to pick up and move tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for moving cargo from point A to point B. If though, you must transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the right choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece equipment designed specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the load and the operator with a purpose to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are typically very narrow aisle vehicles that can operate in aisles of less than six feet. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment in physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more common.
