Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery produced by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial environments where the machinery must travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC machine.
Important characteristics which this combination provides is over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls offer the equipment with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular type is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. In addition, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, supreme power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are quiet in general also. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
