Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack started to manufacture scissor lift platforms back in the year 1986. The company continued to manufacture their product throughout the 1990s, becoming a global leader in the aerial lift business. Eventually, Skyjack grew to over 30% market share overall. Even these days, the company maintains their dominance as an important player who has quickly adapted to the changing face of the industrial machinery industry.

Factors like their commitment to dependability and quality have been important to Skyjacks solid reputation. They are recognized all around the world as being the manufacturer of the best scissor lifts in the world. The Skyjack product series is manufactured and sold all over the globe.

Skyjack was bought by Linamar Corporation, LNR on the TSX in August 2002. Linamar is known for being a leading manufacturer of modules, assemblies and precision-machined components. Linamar's solid balance sheet offers Skyjack with long-term stability and increased strength overall. Skyjack currently has production facilities within Michigan, Hungary and the US with support offices within Asia and Europe.

The company has a lot of self-propelled scissor lifts in its lineup, with models that could work at heights up to 56ft. Skyjack became a leader within the industry by offering equipment features that combined serviceability, durability, quality and service, making Skyjack scissor lifts recognized all over the globe for product dependability. The company's existing Boom lift model lineup consists of telescopic booms. These models offer telescopic booms which feature work heights ranging from 45 to 71 feet. The company plans further expand the boom lift product line in the future.

In the month of August 2007, the acquisition of Volvo's Material Handling Equipment business complements the acquisition of Carelift Equipment. This business acquisition expands Skyjack's Telehandler product offering resulting in the additional Zoom Boom series and the VR series telehandlers. These acquisitions provide the company a chance to grow with the additional manufacturing capacity. Skyjack continues to lead the way in the industry, providing dependable lift solutions.
